J.H. Bradford began the Bradford Wholesale Furniture Company in the year 1889--nine years before the Spanish-American War. Starting as a furniture wholesaler to retail stores (that also sold at the retail level to walk-in customers), the business grew, and later moved from Broad Street to a larger space at Third Avenue North.

In 1951, Bradford's moved to what was then the country, our current location in Green Hills where we have become a major design center for the finest antiques, oriental rugs, furniture and interior design.
